New Life Shah Alam is the first daughter church of New Life Restoration Centre in Petaling Jaya. It started off as a cell group led by Pastor David and Phebe Tham. As the passion to reach out to the community of Shah Alam grew, a church was born on 5 May 1991. Initially, we met in a shoplot in Taman Sri Muda and subsequently moved to Taman Industrial Axis, Shah Alam. After a good 14 years, we have moved here to Kota Kemuning since March 2005.

Our early members comprised of an adult cell group and some East Malaysian students from UiTM. Over the years, hundreds of students have been through the church, graduated and returned to their hometowns and other places.

In 1993, our second ministry started with some Chinese speaking families saved and joined the church. A vibrant cell group was formed, which subsequently grew into our Chinese Church. The Chinese church in turn planted an outreach church in Klang some years later in 2012.

In 2008, we launched our Bahasa Malaysia ministry with a number of East Malaysian students and workers together with some Indonesians.

New Life Shah Alam is a member of National Evangelical Churches Fellowship and the Evangelical Charismatic Churches of Malaysia (ECCM).
