A gospel-centred church in Kuching that seeks to make disciples of Jesus Christ, listen to his Word.

The history of Kuching Evangelical Church (KEC) began at the end of the 1960s. At its annual conference, the Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) decided that their ministry should include a move to the big towns like Kuching as many of the children of the Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB) members had moved to the towns to further their education and seek work. It was decided then to rent and later buy a house at 26 Iris Garden for this work to begin.

Our English service meets every Sunday from 8.30am – 10am, and our Mandarin service meets on the same day in the evenings, from 4.30pm – 6pm.

At Kuching Evangelical Church, you can expect a friendly welcome. We want you to come as you are and to find out more about yourself! Perhaps you are new to church and not quite sure what to expect at a Christian gathering or meeting. We try to take away some of the fear factor by letting you know what to expect.
